Half a cantaloupe in the worm bin experiment
- Don’t feed your worms for a week or so, so that they are good and hungry.
- Cut a cantaloupe in half
- Place it flesh side down on top of your worm bin, close the lid
- Leave it for 3 days
- Come back and check, your cantaloupe should be full of red wiggler worms enjoying the sweet, soft flesh
- Put the cantaloupe back and leave it for a week or so. The composting worms will devour all the melon flesh and leave a paper thin rind.
